Elizabethton High School choirs performed more than 30 concerts and civic events in the 2016-2017 school year. Nine students trained with Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix at UT Knoxville.
- EHS Advanced Ensembles were the only high school students invited to sing in the National Memorial Day Choral Festival in Washington, DC.
- EHS Women’s Ensemble ranked 3rd in state, received straight superiors at the ACDA State Choral Festival
- 1 student named to All-State, 6 named to All-East
- Men’s Ensemble received superior ratings at regional competition
- 31 students chosen for Lee University Honor Choir
EHS Advanced Ensembles
These consist of auditioned singers from grades 10-12. Students perform over 30 times each year in concerts, competitions, school and civic fundtions. They perform the National Anthem at various sporting events throughout the region. The ensembles have consistently received superior ratings at district and state choral festivals and have twice performed at Carnegie Hall. Other ntable performances include miltiple concerts at Dollywood, dinging in the Winter Garden at Biltmore House, and singing the National Anthem for the Atlanta Braves and for a race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
