TSBA- January 22-28, 2023 is School Board Appreciation Week in the state of Tennessee. This is a great time to focus on the crucial role an elected school board plays in our communities and schools. Plan now to show your school board members you appreciate their dedication and hard work. They are extraordinary people who voluntarily tackle the enormous job of governing school districts. Their actions and decisions affect the present and future lives of our children.
Recognizing board members for this commitment and sacrifice takes a combined effort on the part of all those they serve: administrators, school staff, students, and the community. Even though showing appreciation should be a year-round process, taking advantage of the designated School Board Appreciation Week in January ensures that these important people receive some of the thanks they deserve.
To build a culture for learners to think and to act as changemakers.
To create a 21st-century learning environment where everyone is held accountable, reaches for excellence, embraces community, displays resilience, and values integrity.
ECS New Consent Policies for the 2024 - 2025 SY
Please be advised of the changes to Elizabethton City Schools' consent policies for the 2024-2025 school year. These changes are necessary for our school system to remain in compliance with new regulations set forth by state legislation. An email has been sent to every parent email address that is currently on file through Skyward Family Access. The email will explain our consent policies, which include services for mental health, medical treatment, and media, and will also contain a link to the online consent form. If you have not currently received the email, please check your junk or spam folder to be sure it was not redirected there. The message will come from the email address, broadcasts@schoolmessengermail.com. The consent form must be completed for every student in Elizabethton City Schools. If you are unable to complete the form electronically or if you have questions, please contact your child’s school.
